Spring Tonic

There are lots of recipes for spring tonics and it is a good idea to take one every day, never mind just once in spring.  This is full of minerals and sure to give you a spring in your step! If you don’t have all of the herbs you can either use dried or substitute with what you have.  Try parsley, fennel, lime or lemon tree leaves, dandelion or chickweed

Spring Tonic


  • 2 Tbsp Young nettle leaves
  • 1 Tbsp Fresh mint
  • 1 Tbsp Borage leaves
  • 1 Tbsp Raspberry or blackberry leaves
  • 2 cups Boiling water


  • Roughly chop or tear up the leaves and put them into a pot or jug
  • Pour the boiling water over and leave for 15 minutes
  • Strain and drink throughout the day
